Grandma and Papa come to visit

We were very lucky to have Grandma and Papa come to visit for the last two weeks of May.  They were here for lots of the fun end-of-school-year events, and they kept me and the kids company and helped us out while Roy had to go away for a few days for work.

First, there was an international day at the school, and Riley's class was focussing on Mexico.  Poor Leighton was sick and missed it.

His teachers did send home some fun m&m math for him to do though.  And he made up a sheet for Riley to do with him, too.  What a good big brother!

We went to one of the 'strolls' at Central Market one evening and tasted lots of yummy foods!

We had to take Leighton back to the Dr and when we were there, we measured his height.  He's so tall!

Riley's soccer team had their last practice, and we played parents against kids.  Riley played so hard and so well!

Leighton was well enough to last the day at school for Awards Day.

And we celebrated closing on the sale of our house with a delicious steak dinner at home.  Grandma even had champagne!!

The kids had their last soccer games of the season and their little team celebrations.

And Riley had her ballet performance.

Leighton helped pass out the programs for Riley's Kindergarten graduation.

Leighton had Honor's night:

And then it was the last day of school!

I made the kids their annual end of school dessert.

The kids had their class parties:

After school we went down to the pool:

And then we went to Mia's for a yummy dinner.

And all of that activity really tired Riley out:

And grandma too!

The next day we went to the zoo and out for lunch at India's:

The next morning we went to Levy Park and to Creamistry.

And then Roy got home and we went to Stanton's for dinner and to the ball game!  It was a great way to spend the last night with Grandma and Papa.
