Summer Vacation: Day 8 - Dunstable to and Harpenden and St Albans

In the morning, John came to pick us up to take us to their house in Harpenden.  We hadn't seen Jackie and John since their visited in the fall of 2011 in the Bronx shortly before we were moving to Houston.  I was excited for them to see the kids so much bigger!

We had something to eat and then we drove (Riley was beyond excited to find out Jackie drives a Mini Cooper!) to Verulamium Park in St Albans.  We saw what is left of the ruins, walked up to the cathedral, saw the geese, had ice cream, and the kids got to drive on a little track of a visiting carnival!  The weather was gorgeous for being outside.

 
We then went back to the house to relax a bit before walking to a playground and dinner.

We stayed up late visiting and getting organized for our tourist day in London the following day.
