Summer Vacation: Day 7 - Wallingford to Dunstable

We got up in the morning and watched some rugby with Gareth.  The kids played some more.  And then it was time for a sad goodbye to Sarah, her mom, and the kids.

Gareth was so kind and drove us to Roy's cousin Alice's in Dunstable.  Riley fell asleep!

When we got to Alice's, we got to see her and Greg and their 2 sons, Cory and Carl, who are now big grown up boys/men!  Alice also surprised us by letting us know that Roy's parents delayed their trip to Canada and were going to come for a BBQ, along with Roy's aunt and granny and uncle and cousin!  We spent the afternoon visiting ... and chasing the ice cream truck!  Eventually it came to our street .... twice .... the kids were pretty happy!  Especially since we had already taken them for a walk to the store for an ice cream when we couldn't find the ice cream truck!  I also spotted Kinder Eggs at the store and got them one since they aren't allowed in the US and the kids had never seen them.  A pretty treat filled day!

Total walking: We had a short walk to the store and a walk searching for the ice cream truck, but it wasn't anything too long!

  1. I like the way you do vacation...ice cream more than once a day.
