Summer Vacation: Day 10 - Harpenden to Denmark Hill

We got up in the morning and went out for breakfast with John before having to say good-bye.  Riley got all teary and asked him for a 2nd hug good-bye.  She really liked him and being at their house and was sad to leave.

Alvin picked us up when we got off the train and drove us to their house.  We hadn't seen Alvin, Myrtle and the kids since before we moved to NYC, so it was fun to see how big the kids had grown and to meet their youngest.  Riley and Leighton LOVED playing with the kids, and it was so nice how the teenagers took the kids to the store and out to play.  I wish we lived closer.  After lunch, Vern and his wife came for a BBQ dinner.  We hadn't met her before, so it was nice to meet her and to have a long visit with everyone.

Total walking:  The kids walked to the store and played a lot of soccer, and we walked to get Jonam from school, but nothing really worth measuring!
