In the morning, the kids and I went to the Y to swim and in the afternoon Kyla, Laila, and Gavin came to our place to swim.
Tuesday
We've gotten ourselves into a Tuesday morning routine of HEB story time followed by the Bellaire Library story time.
Wednesday
An exciting day for Leighton - we met Leighton's teacher and her daughter at the Children's Museum to play. It was great to see them!
In the afternoon, we met up with our Wednesday afternoon playgroup at the West U water park/pool by Colonial Park. You have to go with a member and pay - they do their best to keep out the riff raft - but it was SO worth it. What a fun place! The kids loved the slides in the water and Leighton wanted to try everything else on offer: the turtle crossing, the floating alligators, the basketball, and the diving board. It was so great and we can't wait until we are invited back again!!
Thursday
In the morning, the kids and I went to Leighton's new school for him to do a little reading test with one of the Kindergarten teachers. I told him they's be asking the kids to show them if they know their letters and letter sounds. Leighton rolled his eyes at me and asked if he could take a chapter book to read to them. He told me that he did go through the alphabet with her and then had a chance to read a couple pages of his book to her. He was really proud of himself. It was pretty cute!
Friday
Friday morning we met Lindsey and the kids at the Y to swim again. We all had a really great time.
Gavin has certainly grown since we first met him at Leighton's birthday party!

He certainly has! No longer a baby!
