We spent the whole day with Kyla, Laila, and Gavin because it was our last chance to see them before their move. In the morning, Leighton and I met them at the zoo (once again, little miss Riley was being a bit of a pain and had to miss out on the fun and stay home). We took them to see the LEGO animals, splashed in the splash area, and then checked out a few animals of the kids' choosing.
After spending the morning in the hot sun, we spent the afternoon swimming in the pool.
Tuesday
The morning was spent at our usual HEB and Bellaire Library story times. Sadly, next week will be the last of the summer for the Bellaire Library. Riley and I will be back in the fall, but that will be it for Leighton.
We had a fun swimming play date at our place in the afternoon. Chelsea and her 2 girls, Erin and her 2 girls, Sara and her 4 kids (Leighton wasn't the only boy this time - but they were still very much outnumbered!!), and Melissa and her 2 girls all came over. I made up some Pimms for the mommies to share (I thought having something very English in honor of the Royal Baby's arrival was very fitting!) and lots of snacks.
Wednesday - Friday
San Antonio! I am working on a separate post about our little mini vacation!
It is so wonderful to have the pool and to enjoy it with friends.
