Birthday party: Plan B

We were planning to head to Dewberry Farm with a small group of friends to celebrate a birthday, but the rain washed out those plans.  The birthday boy's parents were quick on their feet, and after a few emails Sunday morning, we had a Plan B in place.  Luckily the birthday boy wasn't too disappointed with the change of plans and seemed to have a really great time with his celebration!

We started out by meeting at Skeeters for lunch and cake. I had been wanting to eat at Skeeters after heading good things from Lindsey and Charlie (who happened to come in for lunch while we were there, coincidentally!), so we were excited to check it out.  The kids all ate well and had fun being cute (and well behaved as a group of kids in a restaurant!).

Our next stop was Jumping World.  All of the kids AND adults in our group LOVED it here.  Roy said it was much more family friendly for kids our age than the Sky Zone trampoline place he has taken Leighton to for a couple of birthday parties.  There was a toddler area of trampolines and a bouncy house for kids under 5.  The basketball, dodgeball, and main trampoline areas weren't super busy and were filled with pretty careful and respectful jumpers.  I was too busy jumping (and running to the bathroom - having two babies really shattered my bladder of steel!) to take photos, but I grabbed my phone to get a couple videos right at the end.  We all such fun here and the kids have asked to go back really soon.

  2. It seemed really loud on those videos, but I didn't notice it when we were there at all!
