We took the kids out for lunch and then spent the afternoon at the zoo. And we checked out two areas we've never gone to before - one of the outdoor bird areas and the indoor tropical bird house. It was a lot of fun to see something new after visiting the zoo so many times!
One the way home we stopped for milkshakes. Leighton and I got holiday mint (Roy & Riley got vanilla … b.o.r.i.n.g!) and it made me feel very festive. Last week we were warming up with hot chocolate and today was milkshakes - funny weather!
Oh boy something new at the zoo. And while you are enjoying a return to health and warm weather, we are immersed in our first real snowfall of the year. It's OK. We like snow. We live in the mountains (repeat an infinite number of times until March).
