Day of the Dots

Oct 31-Nov 2 may be Day of the Dead, but apparently for Riley, Nov 5 is Day of the Dots (and it's my parents anniversary!).  She chose her outfit all on her own, as usual.  Dots on the leggings, dots on the dress, and dots on the ribbons in her hair.  None of it was intentional but she noticed it after and was tickled about it all!  I wonder if it was actually a colder day if she would have chosen her hoodie with dots, too?!?!

This picture was taken at the playground after we picked Leighton up from school one day about a week and a half ago.  We met Lindsey and the kids at Godwin Park and stayed until the very last moment before needing to go home for dinner because the weather was so amazing to be outside.

We have been having lovely weather for playing at playgrounds lately - a couple days before this, we were at a birthday party for one of Leighton's new school friends and got to spend a couple hours outside in the lovely fall sunshine.

And another day we were at Colonial Park for a play date with the group we used to always meet up with on Wednesday afternoons.  It has been a long time since we all met up due to the heat over the summer, so it was nice to see everyone again.
