DC day 5
When we got up in the morning, we had a little while to go out for a walk so we wandered around DuPont Circle and the neighborhood where our hotel was. Then we got a cab to the airport, grabbed some lunch to eat on the plane and headed home! We flew over the Pentagon so the kids were excited to see that!

Dad and I lived for awhile about a block from Dupont Circle. That's when we parked the 1958 Volvo on the street, and he rebuilt the engine in our single room apartment, taking the bus to machine shops to have whatever work needed to be done. Were we crazy?
