Thanksgiving

Every year, there is a Thanksgiving lunch at the school.  Loads of parents and grandparents attend, and the 4th grade students are the greeters and drink servers.  They are asked to dress as Pilgrims or Native Americans if they want to participate.  We were able to borrow some pants for Leighton and then I bought a t-shirt and sewed him a vest (by hand!).

After school, we went to the playground with a group of friends.  Had a really fun time for several hours ... look how dirty Leighton's legs were after taking off his socks at home!!!

During the break, we went to the playground one day and the ice cream truck came around.  It's hard to resist when it's in the 80s in late November!

Another day we went to a playground I've been wanting to take the kids to for a while.  It had a Ninja Warrior course and a 40 yard dash.  Both had timers you could compete with.  It was so fun!  Afterward we went for lunch at a burger place I had researched.  Yum!
