7th week of summer

On Monday morning, the kids participated in an Apple Camp at the store near us.  They had friends in the camp and it was free, but they didn't love it.  And from camp, we went to dentist appointments. So fun!

Tuesday we spent about 7 hours at the pool with the Meyer family.  And a friendly squirrel!

On Wednesday, Leighton did the Apple Camp again, but Riley tapped out.  And we took her to the Dr for the spot on her face that was getting bigger.  Turns out it was impetigo, so we needed some medication for that.  While we were there, we noticed a rash on her thighs - but it was just a heat rash, thank goodness.

We started box collecting for our move coming up!

Thursday morning we met Meagan at Kids Meals to volunteer making sandwiches and snack bags, packing perishable groceries, and decorating lunch bags.  The kids did an awesome job!  And they looked cute in hair nets!

In the afternoon we went to play with the Gentry family!

And I had promised the dinner a meal at Bullrito's while Roy was away.

On Friday, Leighton also decided no more Apple Camp for him!  Good thing because we had to take Riley to the Dr AGAIN!  Yes, just two days later.  There was something going on with her toe ... turns out it was plantar warts.  So, new regime to take care of that.  And while there, we mentioned something about Leighton's 'spots' he had noticed on his back.  Yup - something that needed attention!  Good thing he told me about it!  I set up a nursing station in our bathroom to take care of all the kids issues!

reading while waiting for the Dr!

Big brother was reading too!

We needed to run an errand to take some things to the mail, including my hair donation I had forgotten to take before our trip!  Here's a picture of the length before I sent it off.

I had also promised a meal at Panda Express ...

For dinner, Leighton wanted banana and PB sushi (in a tortilla, no seaweed and rice involved!)

Roy got back on Saturday afternoon!  We were glad to have him back and went out for dinner to celebrate.

On Sunday, we went for brunch at a Mexican restaurant the kids had never been to (we had gone with my parents on one of their visits before Roy took them to the airport).  The food was great!  And the kids meals come with an ice cream treat!

That evening, I took riley down to the pool.  She met a girl who was relatively new to the apartments and was going to be brand new in 3rd grade with Riley at her new school!!!  They made fast friends!!

And Leighton was excited about all the different chocolate Daddy brought home from Switzerland and Paris!
