September is over already?!?!

I have no idea how it is already the last day of September!  This month flew by!  Here's a little of what we've been up to ....

Riley and I stayed after school one Friday for her to catch lizards with Vivienne ....

We went to the park near us one evening for Riley to scooter and Leighton to practice his goalie skills.  Riley also ended up in the fountains!

Both kids started soccer.  It was SO hot the day of their first games, so Riley brought a fan while we watched Leighton.

Leighton's first time as goalie was a little boring!  Poor kid never got a shot the whole half.

Riley helped us pull weeds ...

I went and bought a new BBQ and it was delivered!

I also bought an outdoor loveseat and table ...

While we were outside weeding and BBQing, Leighton was inside watching baseball and football on a laptop, the TV, and the projector on the wall!

Riley had a play date with her new friend Oliver.  Another new friend, Liam, came too!

We went back to the park on another Friday evening for more splash pad for Riley and soccer and baseball for Leighton.  We walked to look out over the US 59, too!

Riley had soccer picture day ...

Riley and I took Leighton to soccer practice while Roy was in Chicago for work.  A huge dark cloud arrived ...

And that dark cloud rained on us for about 30 minutes that evening.  And then it didn't stop for 3 days.  This was what our road looked like.  The city flooded in many areas and was super close to flooding in many, many more.

I took riley to get her nails done with her friend, Annabelle, as a birthday celebration.  Annabelle brought her a matching outfit as a birthday gift!

Riley and I made a unicorn tail out of a craft kit she had.

And Riley turned NINE!  We opened presents in the morning before school ...

She requested a ombre yellow cookie bouquet for school ...

She said her favorite dessert right now is ice cream, so we had a 'cake' with 9 candles of different mini ice creams!

She had fun playing with all her new Barbies, including the one that came in a wheelchair and the other with a prosthetic leg ...

Grandma and Papa sent her a bean bag chair!

Riley scored her first ever goal in a soccer game this past Saturday!

Leighton scored in his game, too ...

And now it's the end of September!  Crazy!

  1. I'm so glad you have a bit of greenery in your little patio area. The barbecue looks terrific, and nice to have a place to sit out there too. Hooray for Leighton and Riley scoring goals. Can't wait to be there next month.
