Several years ago (April 2013 to be exact .... so FIVE years ago, WOW!), a friend from a playgroup was hosting the TCH Ambassadors Family Fun Day at the Arboretum and she invited us to attend. Here is the post I did about it all those years ago - look how little the kids were!!!
Anyway, let's focus on this year .... Roy gave a presentation to the Ambassadors in the spring, and the woman organizing invited us to attend the Family Fun Day again this year. It was held at Minute Maid Park (home to the Houston Astros!) and was baseball themed.
Leighton was so (SO!) excited to go try the pitching and batting after reading the invitation. Lines for the batting were super long, but we waited for the pitching and got the chance to throw a few balls in the visitors' bullpen and the kids ran the bases. We also got to get photographs with the World Series trophy, which was pretty exciting!
We all enjoyed the activities, food and drinks. It was a really fun afternoon!
Astros and ice cream in little helmets...doesn't get much better than than!
